Accessibility Strategy

We’re committed to improving accessibility both within ACC Liverpool’s Conference Centre and throughout the wider events campus. To do this, we have developed an accessibility strategy to highlight areas in which we’re working – and those in which we need to improve.

Our accessibility strategy

We are continually working behind the scenes to increase the accessibility and usability of our venues, making sure that every visit within our campus is an enjoyable one for everyone who attends an event within our walls.

Accessibility is about more than just physical facilities; it’s our culture and attitude that help to set us apart as a group. Running over three years, our accessibility strategy forms part of our Social Value Impact Plan and is an integral part of our community pillar.

Improving accessibility won’t happen on its own however. To help us achieve our goals, we have clearly set out achievable aims and methods in which we can improve our overall accessibility. These include:

  • Working with experts, visitors and customers to recognise and understand their needs. This allows us to address common issues and create a positive event environment.
  • Making improving accessibility a key consideration in all future developments so that any innovation or changes support inclusive practices and ways of working.
  • Investing in equipment, technology and training to create an inclusive and accessible culture.
  • Being open to learning, and honest about what we can or can’t do to improve – with explanations at every step.

For more information, we have included both a written Accessibility Strategy or a video explanation of our accessibility strategy, so that you can find out more about the commitments we are working towards – and how we aim to achieve them.
